Inauguration of the Leichhardt-Trail + opening of the exhibition in the castle of Branitz

The basics of the scientist and explorers life Leichhardt is in his birthplace Trebatsch, in the 700-year-old St. Mary's church (Marienkirche) in Zaue, where he was taught by the legendary Pastor Rödelius, and in Cottbus, where he attended the Gymnasium (high school). These important stages of his life can be explored on the trail by bike and foot. According to tradition, the young Leichhardt walked this way often by foot.
